Response to Iraqi Prisoner Abuse

the experiments were controversial and unethical because people got harmed. its understandable to want to know the human reaction and behaviour but there should have never been any harm the participants, physically and mentally. they maybe thought of another way to do the experiment or watch more closely to the participants with the power. the humiliation that some of the guards were using on the prisoners was uncalled for as well as some other treatments.
the guard abused their authority and power in the situation just the students in the stanford experiment. they abused the prisoners just like they did in the experiment. sexual humiliation was is something else the two have in common. the obedience was also a huge part of this all as well as the horrible super vision.
with this information we call see that with great power comes great responsibility. it also shows that some people just don’t know how to use that power or just go to far with it. we now understand how humans can react to the power and the authority that maybe given them and how some deal and use it differently then others. now not every-person may act the same way the students did or even the soldiers in Iraqi did but it gives you an idea of what power can do to some people.
